In a courtroom bombshell that has further complicated the capital murder case against David Anthony Burke, the singer-songwriter known as D4vd, Los Angeles County prosecutors revealed that investigators discovered a “significant amount” of child pornography on the artist’s iPhone and iCloud account. The revelation came during a procedural hearing on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as both sides prepared for a high- stakes preliminary trial.
EX-FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY SURRENDERS AFTER INDICTMENT OVER INSTAGRAM POST ALLEGEDLY THREATENING TRUMP

Comey, 65, turned himself in on Wednesday at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia, before his initial court appearance.
He is facing charges of making a threat against the president and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce, both linked to an Instagram post he shared in May 2025 before later deleting it.
The post showed seashells arranged on a beach forming the numbers “86 47,” which prosecutors argue could be interpreted as a threat toward Trump, the 47th president.
The indictment claims that “a reasonable recipient of the message would interpret it as a threat to Trump.” He was also issued an arrest warrant following the grand jury decision in North Carolina. Authorities say the term “86” can mean “to get rid of” or “throw out,” though Trump and some officials have linked it to more violent meaning. Trump told reporters, “It’s a mob term for ‘kill him,’” adding, “People like Comey have created tremendous danger.”
Comey has denied any wrongdoing. In earlier statements, he said the image was simply “a really clever” shell formation he saw during a beach walk. “I posted it on my Instagram account and thought nothing more of it,” he said, adding that he was unaware it could be interpreted as a threat.
His attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald, said they will challenge the case in court, stating, “Mr. Comey vigorously denies the charges… We will contest these charges in the courtroom.” The defense also plans to argue that the prosecution is “vindictive” and politically motivated.
At his brief court appearance, Comey did not enter a plea. A magistrate judge ordered his release without conditions, saying no restrictions were necessary at this stage.
The case marks another legal battle for Comey under the Trump administration. He previously faced unrelated charges of making false statements and obstruction, which were dismissed by a federal judge. Comey has long been a controversial figure in Trump-era politics after leading the FBI investigation into alleged links between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, a probe that found no conspiracy.
Comey has maintained that he remains “still innocent” and says he intends to fight the charges in court. No date has yet been set for his arraignment in North Carolina.

MELANIA TRUMP CALLS JIMMY KIMMEL A ‘COWARD’ OVER CONTROVERSIAL MONOLOGUE, URGES ABC TO ‘TAKE A STAND

In a message shared Monday, April 27, Melania criticised Kimmel’s recent monologue, saying, “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy — his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.”
She added that figures like Kimmel “shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.”
The First Lady went further, labelling the comedian a “coward” and accusing him of relying on the network for protection. “He hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him,” she wrote, before concluding with a direct demand: “Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand.”
Her remarks appear to stem from a segment aired on the April 23 episode of _Jimmy Kimmel Live!_, where the host delivered a parody of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
During the monologue, Kimmel mocked both President Donald Trump and Melania, joking that she had “a glow like an expected widow.” He also quipped that she would celebrate her birthday “looking out a window and whispering, ‘What have I done?’”
In another moment, Kimmel joked about the couple’s relationship, saying, “Oh, by the way, Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania.”
The segment aired shortly before a gunman opened fire during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 25. As clips of Kimmel’s remarkscirculated online in the aftermath, criticism intensified, with some linking the tone of his comments to broader political tensions.
Melania echoed those concerns, stating that his words were contributing to division and accusing ABC of enabling his behaviour “at the expense of our community.”
She also questioned how long the network would continue to allow what she described as “atrocious behavior.”
Neither Kimmel nor ABC had publicly responded at the time of reporting.

Billionaire investor Justin Sun is suing World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture co- founded by President Donald Trump and his son Eric. Sun alleges the company engaged in an illegal scheme to freeze his WLFI tokens and strip him of his governance voting rights. World Liberty has denied the extortion claims, calling Sun’s allegations baseless and accusing him of engaging in his own misconduct to deflect blame. Sun is an ardent supporter of Trump and his stance on cryptocurrencies, but accused certain individuals associated with World Liberty of acting against the president's values.
