A 2-year-old boy who was beaten into a coma at a Queens shelter, allegedly by his drunken dad, has di£d at a hospital on Wednesday night, Feb. 4.

His heartbroken mother gave the update online.

The tragic toddler's death came just hours after his father, 30-year-old Dayvon Morrison, was arraigned on attempted murd£r and assault charges for allegedly severely beating his tiny son at a shelter late Friday, Jan. 30, and lugging him around Queens and East Harlem for three days before someone called the cops.

“My baby is gone,” grieving mom Cyndy Williams posted on Instagram. “2/4/2026 10:26 p.m. I have nothing else to say. I’m done.”

Law enforcement sources confirmed that the boy, identified by his mother as Maliek, has d!ed.

Prosecutors from the Queens District Attorney’s Office said in court that the charges against Morrison would be upgraded if Maliek died — and doubled down on the promise Thursday, Feb. 5.

“Reiterating what was said in court yesterday by ADA Caitlyn Muldoon that if the child succumbed, we intend to submit upgraded charges,” an office rep said in an email.

The young victim was bruised and battered when he woke up at the shelter with his father on Saturday morning, Jan. 31, authorities said.

Instead of seeking medical help, prosecutors said Morrison put the toddler in a stroller and roamed around before showing up at Maliek’s
mom’s apartment in East Harlem — where a witness noticed the boy’s condition and called 911.

His dad allegedly told cops after his arrest early Monday, Feb. 2, that he did not remember if he beat his son because he was too drunk at the time, prosecutors said.

“If you’re gonna put me in cuffs, that’s fine,” Morrison allegedly said. “I was drunk the other night.”

Muldoon said in court Wednesday, Feb. 4, that the child suffered “a blown right pupil, a laceration to his liver, pelvic fracture,” and had “multiple brain bleeds,” with swelling to his brain and a damaged brain stem.

He was on a ventilator at Weill Cornell Medical Center and “listed in likely-to-die condition,” prosecutors said during Morrison’s arraignment.

Halle Berry has revealed she’s engaged to her boyfriend Van Hunt.

The actress, 59, is set to get married for the fourth time to Hunt, whom she calls the "love of my life".

Halle Berry was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she showed off her huge engagement ring.

Speaking to the host, Halle said: “Well, there’s some confusion that he asked to marry me, and I said no. No, that’s not the case. I did not say
no. We just don’t have a date.”

She went on to add: “But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.”

Halle then flashed her impressive engagement ring to the camera.

The ring features a sparkling square-shaped diamond which sits on a gold band.

Halle started dating new fiancé Van in 2020, and the couple have been
loved-up ever since.

Halle was previously married to Eric Benet, David Justice and Olivier Martinez.

She shares nine-year-old son, Maceo Robert Martinez, with the French film director.

Meanwhile, she has a 17-year-old daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry, with her ex Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.

Authorities in Milton, Georgia, have launched an urgent search for Nathan Murray Smith, the 27-year-old son of Grammy-winning producer and rapper Lil Jon. Smith, who performs under the name DJ Young Slade, was reported missing. This sparked widespread concern throughout the Atlanta music community. According to the Milton Police Department, Smith was last seen at approximately 6:00 a.m. at his residence near Baldwin Drive and Mayfield Road. In a particularly concerning detail, investigators noted that Smith “ran out of his house” on foot and did not take his mobile phone with him, leaving him without a means of communication or GPS tracking.
